Growing up in Bed-Stuy, I didn’t always have access to the nicest things, which is why I vividly remember the first time I saved enough to buy merchandise. I was 12 years old, and I bought a pink Britney Spears diary. It’s missing the cover, but I still have it to this day.

Stories are essential to the human experience. For me, merchandise is a visual way to remind ourselves of the inspiration we gain from them... to take the story home. In a digital world, something as simple as a band t-shirt serves as a tangible reminder of a place and time. As an artist, creating merch for fandoms is a privilege that connects me with people who share the same excitement for the stories I love.
